okok, good book! for this one - imma share quotes from characters and highlight a few issues i had:

ISSUES:

Size

Chap 8: xxl shirt size? really -- imma stick to l or xl and they only had medium :ppp 

He sits with his legs spread wide and arms draped over the back of the seats on either side of him. --> cringe Ash cringe. manspreading and the xxl shirt??

 Ash’s massive hands. -- againnnn?? we get it atp

Could I take that much? Would it even fit? -- 🙄 this shit irritates me to no end

watching w.o consent should be considered abuse within the MMC (looking at you sebastian, and yk what Ash and Alec for allowing it). i almost dnfed but decided to see if the author will save themself - i mean, i have read haunting adeline so i can deal w it... see it would hv been hot af if she knew one of them likes to watch but didn't know if they were watching at that point in time.

He’s done this before, I realize, watching how quickly he gets the cuffs open, and how deftly he clasps them around my wrists. He’s done this a lot before. -- experience trope .... ignorable but stilllll

what a cover!! I'm in love, and it suits them so well!!

So... great book! I would definitely recommend this, however, with a few warnings.

Grammar errors (tense, punctuation, etc)

It was definitely an RH, no doubt. BUT some MMCs felt like side characters and it was inconsistent.

        What I mean is that Dex, for example, felt like a side character for the first 85% of the book, and then suddenly he feels like a main character while Leo takes a back-seat...

Serious personality changes

        I just find it hard to believe that Ryder, for example, was so against sharing and then <10m later he's perfeclty okay with it? Barely any discussion too? That's a bit too unrealistic for me.

I read a review, for Book 2, where the reviewer said some of the MMCs felt unnecessary or not exactly part of harem. They were talking about Leo and Holden, and honestly I see it. Esp. with Dex and to an extent, Leo and Holden. The balance between the relationships with the FMC and the other MMCs is missing. 

Lastly:

Are you insinuating that they didn't love her earlier? Like okay you put your dick in her pussy and you love her more? After saying you loved her for years prior?? Nuh-uh. Cuz she's being doing this for ages, and even tho the MMCs didn't like it, they grew balls and dealt with it bc this is part of her. She's not a new person, she's not new to this mafia world. 

okay i lied, Lastly:

In general, I would have liked more backstory for the MMCs and more info on the relationships between the FMC, the MMCs and Micah. As well as more from Leo's mom! I feel like the side characters disappeared to quickly (looking at you Shawna and Leo's mom and literally everyone else except Micah, Evander and Mateo).

Overall, good book! Would re-read for sure, and that cliffhanger!!! predictable but stilll!!!!

Short review this time :))

I really liked this book, and will definitely reread. Not a lot of bad stuff to say this time, except for:

• I would have liked to see more povs and depth in the MMCs - also just more background and (parental) relationships from all of them
• I would have liked to see more of the sons-in-law and Brett :p
• I didn't like that there was some re-inforcement of traditional gender roles for Sophie (the baby)
• like some things Carter and Miles said (Dom was all for hockey)
• I just think with a mom in a traditionally masculine role, I would have liked a more gender neutral approach

Good stuff!

• I missed creative chapters
• The book actually made me laugh out loud a few times! or at least smile really wide
• i like that the arrogant one (dom) isnt the captain of the team, but Miles (the gentler one) is captain instead.
• also miles and carter and refreshing mmc names

Loving the covers!!! Even though the book has nothing to do with chess 😝

This series was really good! Dear did not disappoint. I enjoyed the plot, even if certain parts were predictable. I'm honestly sad it's over, which is somewhat unusual for me, since not all the books I read make me attached to the characters. I will say, I am most attached to Frankie from this series. Yeah the guys are hot and all but...FRANKIE MY LOVEEEEE

As usual, my reviews tend to focus on the negative things. I don't think I've ever explained that...Basically, I find it easier to write about all the negative parts of the book, because my logic is that if I write about all the bad stuff, then everything else was (really) good! And, like in this case, the bad stuff isn't really horrible! Some of it is pet peeves, some of it is repetition, but, in general, there isn't anything straight up horrible. 

So, small review = the book is great! Long review = book needs work.. Because the length of the review is dependant on the amount of bad stuff.

Okay! Let's get into it. Keep in mind this will defo be a reread.

• The men: Typical personalities

    - Bennett: business and tough guy, under daddy's thumb, good boy but reluctant --> also last to give in (though arguably first)

    - Noah: nerdish and kind/sensitive, kinda hidden dom

    - Zach: rebel-like, charismatic and flirt, does what mommy tells him to, but with a little pushback

• Overuse of "baby girl" by Zach --> I swear he barely used her name in the second book 😤
• Bennett was really an asshole. I swear I would have junk punched him sooner rather than later.
• Bennett has a big dick. we get it. can we move on? holy cringeeeee (when its repeated like 50x times) 

  "His dick is going to break me apart." 

• They're all psychopaths. all of them, even max and frankie. But hey, I'm not complaining. It adds personality 😈

  "Why are we always fucking in front of the bodies of people we’ve killed, Bennett?" 

• "Cooed" in sex scenes. whyyyyyyyy?? noooooooo!!!!
• I like dark romance, okay? i do! but i didn't need this reminder

  "I lost myself to him in that shitty office for several blissful minutes, the smell of blood and piss permeating the air around us, which only made me harder because it was the result of Frankie Fingers in action."

• Did the bonus scenes ever meet an editor?... just a question...
• Not sure if its just me or a plot hole but i spent the entire book thinking they were in the same year, only finding out they were the year above her during the epilogue
• weird how chapter 10 of book 3.5 ( and i never really found it a problem in other chapters/books) starts off with summarizing the events of the previous chapter (frankie's pov) from max's pov.
• hate this from Book 3.5: Breed me -- in mm (and mf) --> what are you? a cow? nuh-uh you're a badass.

OKAY - almost done!!

I wanted to highlight this:

You expect me to believe these 3 loved her - forever and always- but barely did jack when she was nearly raped, assalted and killed --- like they only cared when they found out her true identity??? BASTARDS!! LIKE HOLY RED FLAG!! I chose to ignore this completely. BUT WHAT THE ACTUAL SHIT? because, more than their actions, I'm pissed that she didn't actually call them out on that. Like she should have stood up and told them where to stick it, once she revealed her identity.

So. This book was... something.

I have some issues with the author's choices But, let me just say. GOD DAMN. Like holy fucking shit. Holy smutttt. 

The book was good. basically porn, but good quality porn!! Enough porn that if i decide to read the second, for some more multiple hottie porn, I need a nice less smutty break. Which isn't a problem and i will get into that in a sec.

Issues:

• Blond hair, blue eyed, white girl 🙄 
• yes cliche, fine, moving on - in my head she doesn't look like that
• 40% of sex or how hot everyone is per page - usually. I guess this is the point of the book so not too big of a deal.
• Not much of her doing her actual job. But she was still getting paid. SO - it felt a little prostitute-y... so i didn't like that.
• Also, in the beginning, they said they want it to be professional and shit but --> that is so not happening. 
• making her come in a car and go to a formal lunch meeting?? and then fucking her on the way back - two of them both times. nuh-uh professional my ass
• 
  
• No character development. hmph! need that shit, even in glorified pornnnn!!! make me attached to the characters. i want to want the next book - i have no urgency for that right now...
• fucked 10 times in one day and probably twice as many orgasms??? ouch and so unrealistic!!
• why was the book crammed into approx 2 weeks? most authors can't do well with such a short timeline, and CS Berry was no different.
• Sex positions -- this falls into editorial category a bit but:
• would you be able to make eye contact if your head is upside down and you're sucking? never done that position so i cant imagine it...
• reverse cowgirl on Guy 1 but then Guy 2 standing, shes sucking either Guy 2 or Guy 3 (she kepting alternating) but Guy 2 can also suck her tits?????
• probably a couple other ones too..
